Well, Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge has been partially reopened by
NASA. When it might close again due to the war is anyone's guess. For
now the Black Point Wildlife letterbox _is_ accessible to the public.
No guarantees what might happen by the time anyone searches for it. I
expect at the very least they will close the area any time
surrounding a shuttle launch or an USAF missile launch. What I don't
get is that the surrounding waters (one of my most favorite fishing
areas) reportedly remains closed. Go figure.
